Would you believe  Dexter got his own giant balloon at the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade?? Well, at one point he did, at the rise of the show's popularity. An honor no other Cartoon Cartoon got, mind you. The Dexter balloon was 57 ft long and carried a jet pack.

Dexter flew his way down the streets on New York, during the 1998 parade, with other well known, iconic characters from that time period, such as Babe the Pig and the Rugrats themselves. The Dexter balloon was retired after the 2000 parade, with his last flight to promote the video release of the TV movie, "Ego Trip". Oddly enough, another boy genius  from Nickelodeon would take his place the next year. Dexter was a little salty about it at first, but he moved on.
